FUTBOL CLUB BARCELONA
Often shortened to Barça or just FCB, Futbol Club Barcelona is a sports entity in Barcelona mostly known for its football team, although it includes many more disciplines, such as basketball or handball. Its motto is "Més que un club" (?More than a club?), as it is seen as a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalanism. Its official colours are blue and garnet, and its stadium is called Camp Nou. The club was founded in 1899 by the Swiss Hans Gamper, also known as Joan Gamper. Over time, Barça has become one of the most famous football clubs in the world both in men?s and women?s categories, thanks to stars such as Johan Cruyff, Pep Guardiola, Lionel Messi, Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmatí.
