MODERNISME CATALÀ
Modernism is a cultural movement which appeared during the last decade of the 19th century and the first years of the 20th century, with manifestations in different artistic disciplines. As far as painting is concerned, the painters Ramon Casas and Santiago Rusiñol stand out. Rusiñol is also famous for his literature. The architects Lluís Domènech i Muntaner ( Palau de la Música ) and most importantly Antoni Gaudí stand out. Some of Gaudís' buildings are la Pedrera , the unfinished Sagrada Família or Parc Güell.
